Promotions Committee members generate an interest in the downtown via annual festivals, special events, promotional activities, and innovative marketing. Each activity is designed to publicize the attributes of the City by capitalizing on the historic district and the sense of place it affords residents and shoppers. Identifying the potential for profitable business development in the Central Business District is fundamental to the activities initiated by the committee. As a Municipal Authority, all activities undertaken by the BDA must be conducted in compliance with the Municipal Authorities Act of 1945.
