Committees

Main Street Programs across our country are often located in historic downtowns where the combined efforts of four committees targeting historic preservation and introducing economic development strategies work to stimulate practical long-lasting benefits for the host community.

The underlying premise is that restoration and preservation of our historic downtowns can be both cost-effective and ecologically feasible when the community embraces Main Street’s two-fold economic development approach.
